i got my new laptop!!

This is such an exciting day! From the beginning until the end, I've been very excited about purchasing a new laptop. We went to the official Acer store and service center in the Festival Mall. We ate lunch there first, and the dishes were similar to those in a karinderya, definitely worth it since my stomach was really full, plus it was shrimp! After that, it was on top of my mind that we would purchase the Acer Swift as my recommendation based on kuya's desired specs. But it changed once we got to the store; it was recommended that we look into the Nitro series instead if my needs were mainly for gaming and also capable of handling the school workload. I couldn't believe the model they had chosen! IT WAS THE FREAKING LATEST MODEL! The salesperson said that the model was only released on April 17, 2024, like, no, I couldn't believe it. It's so recent! We were utterly shocked. Most of the time when we buy a laptop or anyone would, the model is usually released a year ago. The specs of the laptop are marvelous and so powerful. It is more than enough for what I need. I only play really casual games and not-so-demanding games. Bloons ain't even close LOL to needing a gaming setup. I didn't expect that my parents and kuya would agree to this; it is better than what I expected to buy AGAIN. The latest model, powerful specs, and a gaming laptop couldn't argue more! The freebies are also interesting: a laptop bag, FREE UPGRADE to 16GB RAM, and a gaming mouse! That's more than enough. I couldn't believe I'd be getting such a powerful laptop. 16GB RAM laptop, a CPU that is the counterpart of the Intel i7 14th gen, and an RTX 4050 GPU. What more could I ask for! We bought it for 71,999k.

This is really a perfect laptop for me. I couldn't believe this. I'm so overwhelmed. Technically speaking, I have had my own laptops over the years. But when I think about it, I didn't have my own laptop, a laptop that was bought for me. This one is freaking amazing. All of my previous laptops were second-hand (from my kuyas) but I was grateful enough for them that I was able to do my important leisure activities. I only get irritated when they disrupt and affect my productivity, especially in my school work. My course heavily relies on laptops! Going back, I was so happy when we were getting that laptop. I just couldn't express it. After purchasing the laptop, we went to Ace Hardware since it was recommended to us by the technician (the one who installed the additional 8 GB RAM) that we buy surge protection to protect the battery of the laptop. It was quite expensive but we had a few discounts. So yeah, we happily went home with that stuff. We rested a lot because we got really tired of waiting there at the store. There were also a lot of people buying laptops. Papa sent a heartfelt message, and it was really touching <3. During and after I read it, I literally cried a lot, in the bathroom and the bedroom (luckily they were in the living room). I got really emotional. I really deserved this. I did my all in my first year of college which made me become the top 1 in our batch. Along with that, I will be running as the student council president next academic year. Papa's message really got me emotional. I realized all of my hard work at that moment, and how I truly deserved this. Furthermore, we cleaned up the TV stand in the bedroom so that it can have space to place the new printer, and then my new laptop will be placed on the desk. Yay! I can finally use my desk again and not just my bed. So yeah, I set up the laptop and downloaded important software and games. We showed kuya our laptop. That was it. I am genuinely happy today. I am so thankful for the blessings and my family. I love them so much. I hope I can express to them how much I am so grateful and love them. They never fail to make me smile.
